If you’re like me, you feel like appointments for your hair, skin, and nails are wonderful but they also make you feel guilty for indulging on yourself. I personally don’t pamper myself often unless it’s playing nail or hair salon with my 4 year old daughter, or when I have a great coupon deal for some random salon, the latter of which usually leaves me disappointed that I wasted time and money for a less than mediocre experience.
Well beautiful ladies, no more of this disappointment and no more of this guilt! I wanted to tell you all that it’s okay to do something nice for you, to indulge in a little relaxation, repair and rejuvenation! But don’t you dare waste your time trying out random salons! Go to the best salon in Denver, go to Matthew Morris Salon!
On the eve of my 30th birthday I rejuvenated and repaired my skin with Alexis Eversole. She was wonderful and customized a facial best suited for my skin type and skin goals. As I am aging & acne prone, she did a specialized treatment that combined anti-aging & repairative ingredients, as well as detoxifying & clarifying. She called this a fire and ice facial, and it was soooooo relaxing. Not only was I at ease knowing Alexis has 10 years experience, but she also massaged my neck and shoulders while treatments were working magic on my face.
Even better than this, she was very intentional about explaining every step and asking how things were feeling and how I was doing through out. I didn’t feel anxious, worried, or wonder what was she was putting on my face or if it will burn because Alexis kept me in the loop the entire time and shared valuable knowledge about how I can care for my skin.
After this wonderful facial, I was not able to take a nap, darn! – which I would have loved because it was soooo relaxing 🙂 No nap time here, next up was hair time with Molly Patti-Anne!
Molly right away was super friendly and asked questions about what I wanted done to my hair. It didn’t take long for her to know exactly what colors to use and she recommended a certain type of mix-in that helps strengthen and repair your hair, which was perfect because my hair is a little brittle! After grabbing the drink of my choice (you can have tea, coffee, water, or champagne hooray!) she quickly foiled my whole head! Usually I dread getting a full highlight done because it takes forever, but she worked so quickly as we chit chatted, and in no time at all I was pleasantly enjoying a glass of champagne under the heater!
After reading a magazine and enjoying my glass of champagne, it was time to wash my hair, and this was the best part! Molly’s next career could be specifically in head massages! It was absolutely amazing! I was bummed when it was over and it was time to dry and style.
Molly remembered that I parted my hair on the side, but complimented my face shape and suggested changing up my look by parting in the middle! I decided to follow her expertise and boy was she right!!!
